Resolving Technical Failures

Encountering an unexpected technical issue, a device freeze, or a slow connection during your interview or assessment can feel stressful. Please do not worry. Mimo is built with robust automatic safeguards to protect your hard work, meaning your previously submitted answers are securely saved.

Follow this step-by-step diagnostic walkthrough to resolve common device issues, clear application freezes, and resume your session smoothly:

  1. Verify Camera and Microphone Permissions: If your screen remains blank during setup, open your phone's system settings. Navigate to your app manager, tap Mimo, and ensure that both camera and microphone access are explicitly set to allowed.
  2. Refresh Your Network Connection: If a video upload stalls or a question page fails to load, temporarily toggle your phone's Airplane Mode on and off. This forces your mobile device to re-establish a fresh, stable connection with your local internet service provider.
  3. Perform a Force Close and Restart: If the app freezes or stops responding, swipe up from the bottom of your screen to view your active background apps and swipe Mimo away to close it completely. Relaunch the app, and the system will instantly load your active session exactly where you left off.
  4. Clear Your Mobile App Cache: For persistent loading delays on Android devices, go to your phone settings, select storage, find the Mimo app, and tap "Clear Cache." This safely deletes temporary clutter files without losing your draft resume details or active test codes.
  5. Disable Low Power Saving Modes: Ensure your smartphone has at least 20 percent battery charge and that your device's low-power mode is turned off. Aggressive battery-saving settings can sometimes limit camera performance or suspend background uploading processes.
